Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services Program for Children and Their Families

Arizona

Community Partnership of Southern Arizona—PROJECT MATCH

Project MATCH (Multi-Agency Team for Children) leads and supports a statewide behavioral health system reform (JK Settlement), operationalizing a strength-based, culturally responsive set of principles for the target population.  To accomplish this, Project MATCH builds an existing managed-care base for the provision of mental health and substance abuse services and supports for children and their families.

Project MATCH has developed and now leads collaborative efforts to build a coordinated service delivery process at the community level.  Project MATCH pools community and natural supports together with those of several child-serving systems within single, family-centered, individualized plans developed through child and family team (wraparound) processes for child and family Workforces of the behavioral health, child welfare, development disabilities, juvenile justice and public education systems are cross-trained and frequently co-located, sharing access to the pool of resources to support children and families across five southeastern Arizona counties.
